Argentina allows flights from Mexico once again

With the swine flu menacing us all, many countries have really taken some major decisions to control the spread of that disease... Still, Argentina seems to be one of the first countries to step back and recognize that the disease is almost controlled as you may read on the msnbc.com article just below:

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Argentina is ending a two-week suspension of flights from Mexico that has strained relations between the two countries.

Cabinet chief Sergio Massa says service will resume Friday because the swine flu virus shows signs of being less deadly than feared.

Airport authorities will continue to monitor travelers arriving from North America.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon accused Argentine officials last week of using the flight ban to distract attention from a dengue outbreak that has infected nearly 25,000 people and killed 5.

Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana said Thursday the ban was a precautionary measure.

The South American nation has confirmed one case of swine flu.
