Preparing ourselves for the winter...

From my own experience as a traveler who has already been to almost every corner of the world, I must say that the clothes that we take along with us when we travel really play a very important role as soon as we arrive to our destination… I mean, can you imagine going to Alaska without some beautiful cashmere Socks that will both be warm and glamorous to impress everyone else?

Keeping this in mind, I would like to refer to HUE as the best fastest growing Leg wear brand which has the best solutions for any consumer who needs to buy some new socks for any trip that you may be arranging or even some socks to warm you up during the upcoming winter…

Special drinks from all around the world...

Every tourist knows the credo: When in Rome, do as the Romans do. For the adventurous who would like to try signature drinks in their international destinations of origin, here’s a list of top favorites. Cheers!

All of the following concoctions and many more can be found in David Biggs' “Cocktails around the World” -- a veritable encyclopedia of famous drinks.

Being part of a special community...

With so many financial and social problems menacing our society, most people just tend to ignore the desire of searching for happiness in their lives and so they end up not having much friends or even a mate…

Keeping this in mind, Internet and dating websites appear as the ultimate way of matching singles with each other, allowing them to make more friends and even find someone special to make their lives become a paradise!

Personally, I think that Great Expectations is the best dating website available these days and which has over 30 years of experience and which has a customer service being provided at every location where there are members of the community… Moreover, they even organize events every month where all the members are given the chance to keep in touch with each other. Furthermore, the database has all the most recent videos and photos from every member of the community, making it quite a trustful community where everyone has enough privacy and can also count with the trust from all the other members.

As I am already a member of this community and I simply love it, I felt obliged to write this Great Expectations Review as I am sure that most of my readers will definitely benefit when they also become a members of this community!

Going for the green...

Unlike most pieces of modern architecture, the Richmond Oval is built to be admired from the inside out. A glass façade on the structure's north side gives clear, expansive views of the North Shore Mountains. The venue's three other sides are wrapped in a polycarbonate glaze in varying shades of blue. The design aims to maximize natural light for the 8,000-seat speed-skating track. The structure—located across the Fraser River from Vancouver's main airport—is also notable for its innovative wooden roof. Made from trees killed by the recent pine-beetle infestation in British Columbia, the roof showcases a practical use for the once-discarded material.

Get a look at some Eco Chill action
And no, "eco chill" is not what environmentalists do to relax. An ice rink needs to transfer heat energy out of water to make it freeze. Normally that energy is wasted. But the UBC Thunderbird Arena—an addition to the University of British Columbia's ocean-side campus—has installed Eco Chill, an energy-recycling system that collects and reuses the energy needed to maintain the ice. The largest of the complex's three ice arenas will hold more than 7,000 people and be a battleground for men's and women's ice hockey during the Games. The exterior is modern but won't win any style accolades.

Even stadiums can be "recycled"
Vancouver's push for sustainability in its new Olympic venues would be pointless if it built them for 16 days' worth of events and then never used them again. The city is making sure that each structure can serve the community long after the Olympic torch has been extinguished. For instance, the Vancouver Olympic/Paralympic Centre, near Queen Elizabeth Park, includes a 100,000-square-foot curling venue that will be converted into a multipurpose community recreation center after 2010. Next door, there's a 60,000-square-foot aquatic center. Not only will the two venues be connected by an indoor concourse, but they'll also share energy. Waste heat from the curling rink's refrigeration plant will be captured and reused to heat parts of the venue next door.

The best spots for the surfers!

There's something about getting high that helps you see things from a whole new perspective—and no, we're not talking about a trip to Amsterdam. Inspired by the March 2007 opening of the Grand Canyon Skywalk—a cantilevered, glass-bottomed walkway that lets you peer 4,000 feet down from the tips of your toes to the bottom of the gorge—we've searched high and low (but mainly high) to uncover a dozen stratospheric spots around the world that will have you gasping at the view or clinging, white-knuckled, to whoever is closest. You'll need special gear to enjoy some of these experiences; for others, a credit card and a smile will do. But all require nerves of steel and a resistance to vertigo. If you've got that, we'll show you the way to Cloud 9 (that's the name of the world's highest bar, by the way).
