Doherty to save german club!

It seems that Doherty is going to make it...

German football team has appealed to Pete Doherty to come to their rescue from financial ruin.

KFC Uerdingen want the Babyshambles star to make a guest appearance at their stadium, to raise funds for the ailing club.

Doherty, who spent some of his childhood in the area at an army base in the city of Krefeldas, supports the minor league team alongside his famed love of QPR.

According to Reuters, the former Libertine has said he hopes to visit the Uerdingen ground on his upcoming European tour dates.

Meanwhile, Babyshambles played a surprise, one-off concert in the Wiltshire countryside last night, to just 40 people.

Doherty and co performed a string of hits at The Sun Inn in Marlborough, kicking-off just after closing time, reports the NME.
