Misterious hunts around the world...

Do you personally believe that bigfoot is real? Well, you will love to read the following:

If you think Bigfoot is a hoax, you're not alone. In 2003, the Seattle Post Intelligencer and the New York Times fingered deceased Washington state prankster Ray Wallace as the perpetrator of a decades-long Bigfoot sham; his family claimed he created the Sasquatch legend with suits and fake footprints. More recently, in August 2008 a news-making Bigfoot corpse in Georgia was revealed to be a gussied-up Halloween costume ordered on the Internet.

But those reports haven’t stopped people like Matt Moneymaker, president of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, from seeking the big, hairy truth. He’s led scores of people on $300 four-day Bigfoot treks to North America’s mountain ranges, home (in his estimation) to 10,000 Sasquatches. He dismisses the claim that Wallace invented Bigfoot, and notes that Sasquatch sightings occurred hundreds of years before Wallace was even born. What's more, he knows from firsthand experience that Bigfoot is real.

“We’ve proven it over and over and over again,” Moneymaker says. “I’ve taken hundreds of people out on expeditions and many people have had encounters during those expeditions. We prove it every month to people who are willing to go out and experience it.”

Some tips to speed up your security check...

How long does it take you to proceed with your check-in? Well, I am sure that you would love to speed it up...

No matter what your opinion of airport security is, there’s one fact that’s undeniable—post-9/11 security lines are longer and slower than they were before 2001. And though the increased security still makes sense seven years after the attacks, the slow processing speeds and long lines at airport security don't.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is aware that there's room for improvement, but they're not in a hurry to make your life easier. “The TSA cares about security,” says Bruce Schneier, security expert and author of "Schneier on Security", but “if you want to make security faster, there need to be more lines. They’re just not going to do that.”

To be fair, the TSA has made small steps toward improving the speed of security. They're introducing Advanced Technology X-ray scanners at major airports; installed self-select lanes so slow-moving families and expert travelers choose different lanes; and in August, they endorsed “checkpoint-friendly” laptop bags. These measures can help most passengers save a few seconds, but there’s still a lot more to do. Instead of waiting for a government organization to increase its own efficiency, travelers should concentrate on changing their own habits to speed up the process.

Trying different sports when we travel...

Steven Flanagan thought about going without a golf vacation this winter. When you work in New York, and it seems like the financial world as we know it is crashing all around you, getaway visions come with some guilt.

Then Flanagan went through a particular ghoulish week at the office and realized the vacation is more essential than it first appeared.

"This may come across as a little crass — I realize a lot of people are suffering worse than I am — but my vacation ... helps keep my sanity," Flanagan said. "The truth is that my employer is paying me the same. It's not like they cut my salary, knock on wood. And I hear that there are a lot of good deals out there this year.

Passports' rules going to change...

You have to give the folks at the Passport Services Office points for creativity.

Last month, when they wanted to conduct a public briefing on the upcoming changes to U.S. passport requirements, they could have held it in some sterile conference room in the bowels of the State Department in Washington, D.C.

Instead, they decided to hold the briefing in the other Washington and set up shop in the sleepy town of Point Roberts (pop. 1,500) in the northwest corner of the state. “The Point,” as the locals call it, is not only nearly 2,400 miles from the nation’s capital, but so remote that if you’re driving in from anywhere else in the country, you have to go through Customs twice just to get there.
